João de Deus & Filhos S.A.

Founded in September 1914 in Lisbon, our Company started its activity with the name of its Founder “João de Deus”, in a small shop manufacturing and repairing “Harrison Type” Radiators.  Since 1991 we have been located in Samora Correia, about 1 hour to the north of Lisbon.

In 1996 J.Deus was sold to Magneti Marelli T.S., enabling us to expand our business with O.E. customers. In 1997 we secured official approval to start production of the first O.E. intercooler.  In 2001 DENSO Corporation acquired Magneti Marelli T.S., and became its main shareholder.  This ensured that J.Deus became part of the DENSO Group enabling it to reinforce its market position based on Quality, Innovation and Customer Satisfaction.

The J Deus Group is composed of 6 companies: João de Deus & Filhos S.A. which has its headquarters in Samora Correia. This is the main centre for the development and production of intercoolers and radiators.  The Company also has a plant in Setúbal which is where the development and production of machinery and tooling for the automotive industry.  JDeus Group have also 5 sales companies (4 in Portugal and 1 in Spain) focussed on Aftermarket business.

J.Deus has been developing and growing on the Thermal Systems Business, specifically developing deep expertise on intercoolers, and this contributed to acquire  knowledge and experience on this product, for that reason it was decided to nominate J.Deus, as the Interccoler Development Centre in Europe.
