DENSO is a world leader when it comes to innovation. DENSO’s strength in innovation dates back to our very earliest days. Since then DENSO has developed a vast array of new technologies and this innovative cycle continues today. DENSO developed the world’s first 1800 bar Common Rail Diesel systems and the latest state-of-the-art hybrid components such as the pioneering electric compressor which allows air conditioning systems to operate whilst the traditional engine is off thus reducing fuel consumption and emissions. All our innovations support our organisational mission which is to contribute to a better world by creating value together with a vision for the future.

Not just automotive parts

DENSO’s expertise doesn’t stop with automotive parts.

For example, years of experience gained in manufacturing precision parts led to demand from other manufacturers for DENSO’s specially developed manufacturing robots; over 60,000 are now in operation around the world. In addition, DENSO’s automotive thermal technology has made us a leading contender in domestic and industrial air conditioning and heat pump technology.

Many iPhone owners are also the unwitting users of another DENSO innovation: the two-dimensional bar code known as the Quick Response (QR) Code – originally developed to manage automotive component inventories in DENSO plants. DENSO developed the QR Code reader application for iPhones that allows you to scan a QR Code to get information; you can also create a personal QR Code to share information with others.
